School starts tomorrow. I ask lots of my colleagues, Why are you teaching here? Too often, it's because they can't get a job in the public schools. I'm not sure my army of one is enough to turn that tide.
Teaching K-5 Computers
Being a Computer Teacher is a lonely business. Like the lone PC in a Mac lab... I'm curious how you-all do your job. What do you teach to students and when? Do you have books you follow or create your own lesson plans? Do you follow state standards, National Tech standards or NCLB? Students--let me know what you like about computer classes. If my colleagues are anything like me, we'd like to know what you find important (as different from what your parents tell us is important).
